This feature allows users to speed dial telephone numbers that the administrator has programmed into the system. The administrator programs the number into a " CDE speedcall" key on a user's set through the Multiline Set Keys form. Users initiate the speed call by pressing the key.
Speed Calls cannot override interconnect restrictions.
The administrator can program telephone numbers of up to 7 digits in length for speed dialing.

A CDE Speedcall assigned to a feature key is not stored for redial. That is, the number dialed by the key cannot be dialed again using the Redial feature.
To assign a system speed call as a "CDE Speedcall" key on a user's set:
Multiline Set Keys form
Select the user's directory number from the upper frame.
Select a button that is "Not Assigned" in the lower frame.
Click Change Member.
Set the Line Type to " CDE Speedcall".
In the Button Directory Number field, enter the number (maximum of seven digits).
NOTE: If you require a " CDE Speedcall" that is longer than seven digits in length, program the number as a User Speed Call in the System Speed Calls form. Then program the User Speed Call number against the " CDE Speedcall" key.

NOTE: Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) does not allow external files (including PDFs and XLS files) to open when pages are viewed locally. This is not an issue when pages are viewed online. You can identify where the Help is located from the address bar in the browser. For local Help, it shows, "file:/// or <drive>:\" and for online Help it shows, "http://". To view the Help locally, either use a different browser, such as Firefox or Google Chrome, or use the Help on the Document Center website if you only have IE.
To dial a CDE speedcall:
Press the CDE Speedcall feature key.
